Growing together towards Jesus
At Encounter Northreach, discipleship means learning to follow Jesus in every part of life. Wherever you are on that journey, you are welcome to grow with us as we deepen our faith, share life with others and put His love into practice.
Our discipleship model takes the shape of a triangle, with three connections that support and strengthen one another: connection with God, connection with community and connection with the Jesus lifestyle.
Our discipleship model
These connections belong together. Our relationship with God shapes how we love others; community helps us grow; and serving gives practical expression to our faith.

Connected to God
We pursue a growing relationship with God through prayer, Scripture, worship and gathering with other believers. As the Holy Spirit works in us, we learn to discern God’s will and allow His character to shape our everyday choices.
Paul’s prayer in Colossians 1:9–12 captures this desire: that we would know God’s will, live lives that please Him, bear fruit in good works and grow in the knowledge of God.
A question to consider: What practice could help you deepen your connection with God?

Connected to community
Following Jesus is a shared journey. Through connect groups, trusted discipleship relationships and the life of our church, we make room for honest conversations, encouragement, prayer and practical care.
We also build relationships beyond the church, sharing the hope and love of Jesus with the people around us.
A question to consider: Who could you share life with more intentionally?

Connected to the Jesus lifestyle
Jesus modelled a life of love, generosity and service. We follow His example by using our gifts within the church and caring for people in our neighbourhoods, workplaces, families and friendships.
This is faith lived out in ordinary moments – noticing a need, offering help, showing hospitality and making space for others.
A question to consider: Where could you use your gifts to love and serve others?
From discipleship to partnership
Partnership is one way to turn these reflections into intentional next steps. It is an invitation for those who call Northreach home to consider how they will grow, connect and serve alongside this church community.
You do not need to have everything worked out. Partnership expresses a willingness to keep following Jesus together and to take an active part in the life and mission of Northreach.

Take your next step through partnership
Each year, we invite those who call Northreach home to prayerfully consider their commitment to this shared journey. Our partnership form gives you space to reflect on your relationship with Jesus and identify practical steps for the year ahead.
Before completing the form, consider:
- How will I nurture my connection with God?
- How will I build relationships and participate in community?
- How will I use my gifts to love and serve others?
The form is shared across Encounter Church gatherings. Please select Northreach as your primary place of connection and partnership.
If you would like to talk through your next step, get in touch with us. We would love to help.
